Islamabad, May 4, 2026: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday held talks with Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focusing on the evolving regional situation and efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability.

According to an official statement issued by the Foreign Office, Dar underscored Pakistan’s continued commitment to engagement and dialogue as the preferred path toward regional and global peace.

During the meeting, Kravik reiterated Norway’s support for Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role and its ongoing efforts toward achieving a peaceful and durable resolution of conflicts in the region.

The two sides also reviewed bilateral relations and explored opportunities to further expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The Norwegian deputy foreign minister conveyed an invitation from Norway’s foreign minister to Ishaq Dar to participate in the upcoming Oslo Forum scheduled to be held next month.
