Karachi, November 09, 2024- Pakistan’s top female shooter, Kishmala Talat, has achieved the remarkable title of Asia’s second-best shooter in the women’s 10m air pistol category, as per the latest rankings by the Asian Shooting Confederation.
Talat earned 1,350 points in the 10m air pistol, just behind India’s Esha Singh, who topped the rankings with 1,500 points. In addition to her success in the 10m category, Talat currently holds the 29th position in the women’s 25m pistol event.
Reflecting on her accomplishment, Talat expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Allah has blessed me abundantly. I am deeply humbled and grateful. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey.” She remains committed to improving her performance in the coming year, aiming to reach even greater heights in 2025. “I’m excited to continue training, learning, and representing my country with pride and honor,” she added.
Earlier this year, Talat represented Pakistan at the Paris Olympics, becoming the first Pakistani female shooter to directly qualify for the Games.
Other Pakistani shooters have also made strides in Asian rankings. Ghulam Joseph achieved 7th place in the men’s 10m air pistol, while GM Bashir secured the 15th spot in the men’s 25m rapid fire event.
