Islamabad, May 7, 2026: Islamabad Model College for Girls Street 25 F-6/2 organised a patriotic ceremony on Thursday to commemorate the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, paying tribute to the sacrifices and achievements of Pakistan’s armed forces during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos.
The ceremony, held in the college auditorium, began at 11am and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of both junior and senior sections. The event aimed to promote patriotism, national unity and awareness regarding the sacrifices made for the defence of Pakistan.
The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Khadija tul Kubra, followed by introductory remarks from host Aamna Ahmed, who welcomed the principal, vice principals, teachers and students while highlighting the significance of the occasion.
The event featured speeches, patriotic songs, poems, quizzes and performances reflecting national pride and solidarity.
A Urdu speech by junior section student Zoha Ramzan focused on love and devotion for Pakistan, while a spirited military song presented by Amna Sadiq and group received appreciation from the audience.
An emotional Urdu poem by Aiza Ejaz and an informative presentation titled “The Story of Pakistan’s Defense” narrated by Tehreem Babar highlighted the sacrifices and achievements of the Pakistan Army.
Senior section student Anam Aziz delivered a speech expressing themes of patriotism, sacrifice and national responsibility, while Minahil Atif and group presented a tableau depicting national unity and resilience.
A quiz competition on Marka-e-Haq and Pakistan Army’s defence achievements was organised under the supervision of Riffat Sultana.
The programme also included an Urdu speech by Abrish Furqan on national solidarity and the role of youth in Pakistan’s progress, while a patriotic poem by Hadia Shahid received warm applause from the audience.
An inspirational video produced by Inter-Services Public Relations on Marka-e-Haq was also screened during the ceremony, highlighting the role of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the country and promoting regional peace and stability.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Aaliya Durrani appreciated the efforts of students and teachers and urged students to remain patriotic, disciplined and committed to the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
The ceremony concluded with the national anthem.
