Dubai, May 11, 2026: The International Cricket Council has released its annual ODI rankings update, showing the Pakistan national cricket team slipping to fifth position following South Africa’s strong rise in the format.
According to the ICC update, Pakistan dropped to fifth place with 98 rating points, falling behind South Africa, who climbed to fourth position with 102 points—four ahead of Pakistan.
Defending champions India national cricket team continue to dominate the ODI rankings with 118 points, maintaining their position at the top of the table. They are followed by New Zealand national cricket team in second place with 113 points.
Reigning world champions Australia national cricket team hold third position with 109 points, ahead of South Africa and Pakistan.
Sri Lanka remain sixth with 96 points, while Afghanistan national cricket team and England national cricket team occupy seventh and eighth positions with 93 and 89 points respectively.
Bangladesh national cricket team are placed ninth with 84 points, while the West Indies cricket team round off the top 10 with 74 points.
Despite heavy T20I activity over the past year, including the 2026 T20 World Cup, the annual T20 rankings saw minimal movement.
India continue to lead the T20I table with 275 points, ahead of England (262) and Australia (258). Pakistan remain sixth with 240 points, behind New Zealand (247), South Africa (244), and ahead of West Indies (233).
Sri Lanka dropped to ninth place, while Bangladesh moved up one spot. Afghanistan remain 10th, followed by Zimbabwe and Ireland.
In the women’s rankings, the Pakistan women’s national cricket team slipped one place to eighth in ODIs with 72 points and remained eighth in the T20I standings as well.
The latest rankings highlight shifting momentum in international cricket, particularly in the ODI format, where competition at the top continues to intensify among leading teams.
