Islamabad, May 25,2026: Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has congratulated Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on his re-election as Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran.

In a statement issued by the National Assembly Secretariat, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said Ghalibaf’s re-election reflected the trust, confidence, and strong support of the members of the Iranian parliament in his leadership.

Recalling Ghalibaf’s visit to Pakistan last year along with a parliamentary delegation, Ayaz Sadiq said the visit played an important role in strengthening parliamentary diplomacy, enhancing people-to-people contacts, and deepening government-level cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

The Speaker expressed confidence that parliamentary cooperation and institutional exchanges between Pakistan and Iran would further expand under Ghalibaf’s leadership.

Ayaz Sadiq also conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure and expressed hope that the longstanding bonds of brotherhood, mutual understanding, and bilateral cooperation between the peoples and parliaments of both countries would continue to grow stronger.

He further emphasized the importance of continued parliamentary exchanges, saying such engagements would allow lawmakers from both countries to benefit from each other’s legislative experience, expertise, and institutional knowledge.
