Islamabad, July 17, 2026: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Friday paid tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for successfully carrying out an intelligence-based operation in Bannu, during which 24 militants belonging to Fitna Al Khawarij were killed.

In a statement, the Speaker commended the security forces for their professionalism, courage and unwavering commitment in foiling what he described as the nefarious designs of the Indian proxy terrorist group, Fitna Al Khawarij.

He said the timely and effective operations against Indian-sponsored terrorists reflected the high level of professionalism, preparedness and resolve of Pakistan’s security forces in safeguarding the country’s peace and security.

Ayaz Sadiq said the successful operation demonstrated the nation’s unwavering determination to eliminate the menace of terrorism. He added that Pakistan’s security forces had consistently displayed extraordinary courage, professional excellence and steadfast commitment in defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Reaffirming the nation’s collective resolve against terrorism, the Speaker said the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its brave security forces in the fight against extremism. He added that the sacrifices rendered by the country’s martyrs in defence of the homeland remain a source of immense pride and would always be remembered with the highest respect and gratitude.

The Speaker further said that every conspiracy aimed at undermining Pakistan’s peace and stability would be defeated decisively. Expressing confidence in the ongoing Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, he said the security forces would continue their operations until terrorism is completely eradicated, paving the way for lasting peace, stability and security across the country.
