Islamabad, July 27, 2026: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the devastating wildfires sweeping across Spain, conveying Pakistan’s solidarity with the Spanish government and people during the ongoing crisis.
In a post on X, the prime minister said he was deeply saddened by the loss and destruction caused by the wildfires.
“On behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan, as well as on my own behalf, I extend my heartfelt sympathies to Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, the Government and the people of Spain, especially all those affected by this tragic disaster,” he said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed hope that the fires would be brought under control at the earliest and that the affected communities would recover swiftly.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s support, he said the country stands in solidarity with Spain during this difficult time and that his government remains ready to extend any assistance that may be required.
