Islamabad, July 29, 2026: Pakistan and Kuwait on Wednesday agreed to further strengthen their longstanding bilateral relationship by expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, labour, agriculture, information technology, health, mining and minerals, defence, and other areas of mutual interest.
The understanding was reached during delegation-level talks co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
The two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of Pakistan-Kuwait relations and agreed to further institutionalise bilateral cooperation through stronger institutional linkages and regular high-level exchanges.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination at multilateral forums and enhancing cooperation on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the Kuwaiti foreign minister thanked the Government and people of Pakistan for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his delegation. He also appreciated Pakistan’s support for Kuwait during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senator Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its longstanding brotherly ties with Kuwait and reiterated Islamabad’s desire to further expand the mutually beneficial partnership across all sectors.
The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments, including the situation in the Middle East and Palestine.
The Kuwaiti foreign minister commended Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability, reaffirming the importance of continued cooperation between the two countries on issues affecting regional and international security.
