Lahore, August 8, 2026: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to 12 national cricketers, allowing them to participate in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 and the County Championship.
Among the players cleared by the PCB is left-arm spinner Noman Ali, who has joined Lancashire for the remainder of the County Championship. His NOC is valid until September 27.
Noman is set to make his Lancashire debut against Northamptonshire on August 20 at Old Trafford, with the fixture also designated as the club’s Red Ball Celebration match.
Eleven other Pakistani cricketers have been granted NOCs to participate in the CPL 2026, which got underway on Friday. They are Shadab Khan, Sufiyan Muqeem, Sahibzada Farhan, Naseem Shah, Hunain Shah, Hasan Nawaz, Usman Khan, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Haris, Usman Tariq and Usama Mir.
The NOCs for Shadab, Muqeem, Farhan, Naseem, Hunain, Hasan, Usman Khan and Maaz Sadaqat are valid from August 19 to September 21, allowing the players to complete their domestic commitments before joining their respective CPL franchises.
The decision follows a report that the PCB would issue NOCs to CPL-bound players only after they completed their commitments in the National Champions Cup 2026-27, being held in Multan from August 11 to 18.
Several of the players granted NOCs are participating in the four-team List A tournament. Shadab, Muqeem, Naseem, Usman Khan and Maaz Sadaqat are among those included in the fixed playing XIs of different teams.
The PCB has issued different validity periods for the remaining CPL-bound players. Mohammad Haris has been cleared from August 7 to September 20, while mystery spinner Usman Tariq’s NOC is valid from August 8 to 18.
Leg-spinner Usama Mir has been granted permission to participate in the overseas league from August 7 to September 21.
The issuance of the NOCs will enable Pakistan’s players to join their CPL franchises while also ensuring that those involved in the domestic Champions Cup complete their national commitments before departing for the Caribbean.
The CPL 2026 runs through September 20, providing the Pakistani players with an opportunity to gain valuable experience in one of the world’s leading T20 leagues ahead of Pakistan’s upcoming international commitments.
