London, August 8, 2026: The Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team arrived in England on Saturday to begin preparations for a three-match Test series, scheduled from August 19 to September 13 as part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the national squad will rest on Saturday and Sunday following its arrival before beginning formal training at the County Ground in Beckenham on August 10.
As part of their preparations for the challenging English conditions, Pakistan will also play a four-day warm-up match against a Select XI from August 12 to 15.
The upcoming series will mark Pakistan’s first Test tour of England since 2020. The opening Test will be played at Headingley in Leeds from August 19 to 23.
The second Test is scheduled at Lord’s Cricket Ground from August 27 to 31, while the third and final Test will take place at Edgbaston in Birmingham from September 9 to 13.
The series carries added significance as both teams continue their campaigns in the ongoing World Test Championship cycle.
Pakistan head into the tour with renewed confidence after drawing their recent two-Test series against the West Indies 1-1. The Green Shirts also ended a long wait for an away Test victory by securing their first win outside Pakistan since July 2023.
The Babar Azam-led side will now look to build on that momentum in England, where conditions are expected to provide a stern test for Pakistan’s batting and bowling units.
