Islamabad, August 25, 2026: A high-level Saudi business delegation led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pak Joint Business Council, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House on Tuesday to discuss expanding economic cooperation and Saudi investment in Pakistan.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his respectful regards to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

Recalling the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the prime minister said Islamabad was keen to transform the bilateral economic relationship into a mutually beneficial strategic economic partnership in line with the vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Welcoming the delegation, Prime Minister Shehbaz recalled Prince Mansour’s previous visits to Pakistan and expressed hope that the current engagement would build on earlier discussions and lead to the signing of memoranda of understanding and agreements across multiple sectors.

The Saudi delegation expressed interest in investment opportunities in agriculture, ports, highways, airport outsourcing and real estate, as well as energy, power distribution and information technology.

The prime minister welcomed the Saudi interest and said Pakistan considered the present time particularly opportune for expanding joint ventures and investment through both government-to-government and business-to-business cooperation.

Prince Mansour thanked the prime minister for the warm reception and reaffirmed the Saudi government’s and business community’s continued interest in strengthening business-to-business engagement with Pakistan.

The delegation is scheduled to hold meetings with senior government representatives and private-sector stakeholders during its visit to Pakistan to explore investment and commercial opportunities.

The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain, Dr Musadik Malik, Jam Kamal Khan, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Ataullah Tarar, Junaid Anwar Chaudhury, Ali Pervaiz Malik, Sardar Awais Ahmed Leghari and Muhammad Hanif Abbasi; Advisors Muhammad Ali and Haroon Akhtar Khan; Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani; Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi; and senior government officials.

The high-level engagement reflects Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s efforts to translate their longstanding strategic partnership into deeper economic cooperation, increased investment and stronger private-sector linkages.
