Islamabad, August 25, 2026: Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar met with Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan İrfan Neziroğlu on Tuesday to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in higher education, research and knowledge exchange.
The meeting focused on expanding academic collaboration between universities and institutions in Pakistan and Türkiye, with particular emphasis on research partnerships and greater exchange of knowledge and expertise.
Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar and Ambassador İrfan Neziroğlu reaffirmed the shared commitment of Pakistan and Türkiye to deepening academic ties and creating greater opportunities for students and faculty members in both countries.
The two sides expressed the hope that enhanced institutional cooperation would contribute to strengthening educational and research linkages and further deepen the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Türkiye.
