Islamabad, August 28, 2026: The National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC) has taken notice of the alleged sexual abuse of an eight-year-old girl in Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and said it is closely monitoring the case.
According to the child’s mother, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in connection with the alleged incident, while the accused has not yet been arrested.
The NCRC said it is actively following up with the relevant authorities to monitor progress in the case and ensure that the matter is dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
The Commission emphasised that the protection, safety and rights of the child must remain paramount throughout the legal and investigative process.
The NCRC reiterated its commitment to protecting children from all forms of abuse and ensuring that child victims have effective access to justice and appropriate protection mechanisms.
The Commission said it would continue to monitor developments in the case to ensure that the rights and best interests of the child are safeguarded.
