Islamabad, September 9, 2026: High Commissioner of Mauritius to Pakistan Munsoo Kurrimbaccus held a constructive and engaging seminar with representatives of 25 leading travel companies in Pakistan at the Emirates office in Islamabad.

A comprehensive visual presentation introduced Mauritius as a premium tourism destination, highlighting its pristine beaches, unique experiences, luxury hospitality, rich cultural heritage and diverse attractions.

The seminar provided an opportunity for a frank and useful exchange of views between the Mauritian High Commissioner and leading Pakistani travel professionals. Discussions particularly focused on visa facilitation, air connectivity and airfare costs, which are key factors in encouraging greater tourist flows from Pakistan to Mauritius.

The High Commissioner also appreciated the valuable input provided by Emirates Manager Mr. Qureishi, whose contribution added further depth to the discussions.

The seminar concluded on a highly positive note, with participants expressing clear interest in Mauritius as a tourism destination and satisfaction with the initiative.

The High Commissioner said that greater engagement with Pakistan’s travel industry could play an important role in strengthening tourism links between Mauritius and Pakistan.

He expressed sincere appreciation to Emirates for graciously hosting the event and also thanked Mr. Ansar Bhatti for his valuable support and efforts in ensuring strong media visibility for the seminar.

Mauritius is ready to welcome more visitors from Pakistan and further strengthen people-to-people and tourism ties between the two countries.
