Islamabad, September 11, 2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid rich tribute to Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah on his 78th death anniversary, commending his visionary leadership, political acumen and selfless guidance that led to the creation of Pakistan.

In his message, the Prime Minister said Quaid-i-Azam had changed the course of history by overcoming formidable challenges and inspiring the Muslims of the subcontinent to unite and struggle for the protection of their religious, cultural and ideological identity.

He said the Quaid’s political wisdom, foresight and exemplary leadership had successfully advanced the freedom movement, culminating in the establishment of an independent state for the Muslims of the subcontinent.

According to the Prime Minister, Pakistan was created to safeguard the ideological freedom, political and religious rights, and economic and social advancement of its people.

Shehbaz Sharif said Quaid-i-Azam demonstrated remarkable statesmanship in dealing with the immense challenges confronting the newly established country, including severe administrative and financial constraints, the mass migration of millions of people and the establishment of a functioning system of government.

He recalled that the Quaid had made it clear that Pakistan was founded on Islamic principles that guaranteed freedom of citizenship and religion, equal fundamental rights and responsibilities for all citizens without distinction of colour or creed.

The Prime Minister said building Pakistan into a developed, prosperous and welfare state remained the foremost objective of Quaid-i-Azam’s political legacy and could only be achieved through collective and concerted national efforts.

He called upon the nation to renew its commitment to the guiding principles of Quaid-i-Azam — Faith, Unity and Discipline — describing them as a guiding light for the education and upbringing of future generations and a beacon for Pakistan’s future.

Shehbaz Sharif said the best tribute to the Father of the Nation would be to work together to promote national unity, social harmony and economic stability and to build a country that truly reflected Quaid-i-Azam’s vision, ideals and principles.

The Prime Minister also urged the nation to remain committed to the country’s development and welfare, saying collective efforts were essential to securing a brighter future for coming generations.

He concluded his message with prayers for the elevation of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s ranks and for Allah Almighty to bless the Father of the Nation with an exalted place in His infinite mercy.
