Islamabad, September 10, 2026: Fatou Harerimana, High Commissioner of Rwanda to Pakistan, called on Federal Minister for the Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh, at his office on Thursday to discuss ways to strengthen investment and business cooperation between Rwanda and Pakistan.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on expanding bilateral economic ties, with particular focus on cooperation and investment opportunities in agriculture, tea and coffee sectors.
Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh suggested that the Rwanda High Commission host a virtual meeting between Pakistan’s Board of Investment and the Rwanda Development Board in the near future to identify potential areas of cooperation as a step towards the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The Rwandan High Commissioner also extended an invitation to the Federal Minister to participate in the Rwanda–Pakistan Investment Forum, scheduled to be held in Kigali, Rwanda, from September 23 to 25, 2026.
The proposed forum is expected to provide an important platform for enhancing trade, investment and business linkages between the two countries.
