Islamabad, September 11,2026: Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan, Yusuf Sharifzoda, met Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain in Islamabad on Friday, with the two sides discussing ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the meeting, they reviewed the current state and future prospects of Tajikistan-Pakistan relations, with particular emphasis on enhancing institutional linkages and cooperation between relevant organizations of the two countries.
The meeting also discussed Pakistan’s participation in upcoming international and regional forums and events scheduled to be held in Tajikistan. Both sides highlighted the importance of the active participation of Pakistani government institutions, business representatives and members of the expert community in these events.
Ambassador Sharifzoda and Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain underscored that regular interactions and stronger institutional contacts between relevant bodies would help promote further cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan across various sectors.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides expressed their readiness to continue dialogue and further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the mutual interests of both countries.
