Islamabad, September 11, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday chaired a meeting to review preparations for the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Council of Ministers (COM) meeting, which Pakistan will host on November 15–16, 2026.
The DPM/FM was briefed on preparations for the meeting, including the proposed programme and agenda, participation, logistics and other arrangements.
Senator Ishaq Dar reviewed the preparations in detail and provided guidance on key aspects of the upcoming COM meeting.
He underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to the ECO and its role in promoting regional trade, connectivity and economic cooperation.
The deputy prime minister directed all concerned authorities to ensure comprehensive preparations for a productive and successful ECO Council of Ministers meeting in Pakistan.
Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and relevant officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the meeting.
