Islamabad, September 11, 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of former federal minister, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice, and Member of the National Assembly Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk.
In his condolence message, the Speaker extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, describing the death as a great loss.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk was a competent, sincere and dedicated political and parliamentary figure who rendered valuable services throughout his political and parliamentary career.
He said the deceased parliamentarian made commendable contributions to legislation, promotion of democratic values, supremacy of Parliament and the welfare of the people.
The Speaker paid tribute to Virk’s political, parliamentary and social services, saying his contributions would be remembered for a long time.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said the National Assembly had lost an experienced and active parliamentarian with the demise of Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk.
He expressed solidarity with the bereaved family in their hour of grief and prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of the departed soul and grant patience and fortitude to the family to bear the irreparable loss.
