Switzerland, Pakistan review bilateral ties, regional developments

Islamabad, September 14, 2026: Ambassador-designate of Switzerland Stéphane Rey paid a courtesy call on Additional Secretary Europe Ambassador Ayesha Ali at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the two sides reviewed Pakistan-Switzerland bilateral relations and discussed regional developments.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions covered preparations for the Geneva AI Summit 2027, implementation of the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on disaster risk reduction, and ways to further enhance trade and investment ties between Pakistan and Switzerland.

The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest and expanding economic engagement between the two countries.
