Islamabad, September 19, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and discussed the latest regional developments.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar stressed the importance of uninterrupted energy supplies and the safe and expeditious passage of ships, particularly in view of their implications for developing countries and global supply chains.
The Deputy Prime Minister underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remained the only viable means to ensure peace and stability in the region.
The two foreign ministers agreed to maintain close cooperation and decided to meet in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
