Rawalpindi, September 23, 2026: Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards, in coordination with the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC), have thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large cache of contraband items in the Pishukan area of Balochistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the joint intelligence-based operation was conducted on actionable intelligence.
The operation led to the seizure of a sizeable quantity of liquor and illegal medicines. The confiscated items have been handed over to the Pakistan Coast Guards for further legal proceedings.
The successful operation highlighted the effectiveness of inter-agency coordination in countering smuggling activities and reaffirmed the resolve of the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards to prevent the use of Pakistani waters and territory for illicit activities.
