Lahore, October 31,2026: High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, Fred Senevirathne, has held meetings with prominent members of Lahore’s business community to promote Sri Lanka Expo 2027 and explore new avenues of bilateral trade and investment.
The High Commissioner was accompanied by Honorary Consul General Yasin Joyia and Deputy High Commissioner Christy Ruban during the meetings.
The engagements provided an important platform for interaction with leading business representatives, exchange of ideas and discussion on potential trade and investment opportunities between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Both sides explored ways to strengthen commercial cooperation, expand business-to-business engagement and further deepen economic ties between the two friendly countries.
The promotion of Sri Lanka Expo 2027 is aimed at encouraging greater participation from Pakistani businesses and providing new opportunities for traders, investors and entrepreneurs to explore partnerships with Sri Lankan counterparts.
The meetings reflect the shared commitment of Pakistan and Sri Lanka to enhance economic cooperation and strengthen their longstanding bilateral relationship.
