Rawalpindi, December 7, 2024 – Six soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while 22 terrorists were killed during three separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on December 6 and 7, 2024, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR reported that an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was carried out in Gul Imam, Tank district, targeting a reported terrorist hideout. Security forces engaged the militants effectively, killing nine and injuring six others.

In a second operation in North Waziristan, ten terrorists were neutralized by security forces during a precise and well-coordinated engagement.

In a separate encounter, security forces foiled an attempted terrorist attack on a military post in Thall district, killing three attackers. However, in the intense exchange of fire, six soldiers, who fought valiantly, laid down their lives for the country.

Sanitization operations are ongoing in these areas to ensure no remaining threats. The ISPR reaffirmed the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism, emphasizing that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s brave soldiers only strengthen the nation’s resolve to defeat this menace.

Earlier this week, security forces killed eight terrorists in two separate operations in KP. In one IBO in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan, two militants, including the notorious ring leader Khan Muhammad, were killed, and two others apprehended. Khan Muhammad was involved in multiple criminal activities, including target killings and extortion, and carried a bounty of Rs. 1 million on his head.

In another operation in Lakki Marwat, six terrorists were neutralized following an intense exchange of fire. These operations highlight the continued efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces to ensure peace and security across the region.
