Islamabad, December 19, 2024: Lance Naik Muhammad Tanveer, a 37-year-old Rangers official injured during the violent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest on November 26, has succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at CMH. A resident of Narowal district, Lance Naik Tanveer served the nation with dedication for 17 years. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, and three daughters.

The tragic incident has brought the total number of martyred Rangers personnel to four, with several others still recovering from injuries sustained during the protest. In addition, two Punjab Police officials were martyred, and approximately 119 personnel from law enforcement agencies were injured in the violence. A case (FIR 933) has been registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act, as authorities continue to investigate and take action against those responsible for the unrest. The martyrdom of Lance Naik Tanveer underscores the sacrifices made by law enforcement personnel in maintaining peace and order in the face of violent challenges.
