Cape Town, January 5, 2025: Pakistan’s cricket team was forced to follow-on in the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town after a challenging third day. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan resumed their innings, with Babar on 31 and Rizwan on 9, as Pakistan attempted to chase down South Africa’s formidable first-innings total of 615 runs. However, Pakistan was bowled out for just 194 runs, prompting South Africa to enforce the follow-on. Pakistan has now resumed batting in their second innings.

Earlier, on Day 2, South Africa was dismissed for 615 runs in their first innings, thanks to standout performances from Ryan Rickelton, who scored a double century, and centuries from Temba Bavuma and Kyle Verreynne.
