Islamabad, January 20, 2025: On the occasion of International Day of Education, Senator Sehar Kamran highlighted the critical role of education in driving Pakistan’s growth and development. She emphasized the need for equitable access to education and the adoption of modern educational frameworks to empower future generations.

In a statement on Monday, Senator Kamran underscored education as the cornerstone of societal advancement, quoting Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah: “Education is a matter of life and death for our nation. If we do not educate ourselves, we will be left behind in a rapidly changing world.”

She stressed that education is pivotal for breaking the cycle of poverty, empowering individuals, and fostering peace and technological progress. In Pakistan, where millions of children remain out of school, Senator Kamran called for prioritizing the development of human capital through comprehensive educational reforms.

Senator Kamran also highlighted the urgent need to tackle the challenges facing Pakistan’s education system, including inadequate funding, outdated curricula, and the growing rural-urban education disparity. With the country’s literacy rate at just 62.3%, she called for immediate reforms to establish an inclusive and sustainable educational framework that will equip youth to face future global challenges.

In conclusion, Senator Kamran reaffirmed her commitment to cultivating a well-educated generation that can contribute to a prosperous and peaceful Pakistan. She emphasized that education is the key to unlocking the nation’s full potential and securing long-term progress.
