Muzaffarabad, February 5, 2025: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), visited Muzaffarabad on Kashmir Solidarity Day, where he paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and reaffirmed Pakistan Army’s commitment to the Kashmir cause.

Upon arrival at the Jammu and Kashmir Monument, the COAS laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial, honoring those who laid down their lives for the freedom of Kashmir. He expressed deep respect for the unparalleled sacrifices of the Shuhada (martyrs) and paid rich tributes to their legacy.

While paying homage, General Asim Munir commended the unwavering dedication, professional excellence, and combat readiness of the deployed officers and soldiers operating in Kashmir under challenging conditions.

He praised their high morale and vigilance, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peak operational preparedness to deter and counter any hostile provocations. The COAS reaffirmed his complete confidence in the battle readiness of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and warned that no act of aggression would go unanswered.

“Pakistan Army stands fully prepared to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity with unwavering resolve,” he asserted.

Later, General Asim Munir interacted with Kashmir’s notable figures and war veterans, reiterating Pakistan’s steadfast support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK). He strongly condemned Indian atrocities and the rise of Hindutva extremism, stating that such oppression only strengthens the Kashmiri people’s resolve in their rightful struggle for self-determination.

“Without any doubt, Kashmir will be free one day and become part of Pakistan, as per the free will and destiny of the Kashmiri people,” he declared.

Earlier, upon arrival in Muzaffarabad, COAS General Asim Munir was received by the Commander Rawalpindi Corps, who briefed him on the security situation and operational preparedness in the region.

The visit underscored Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to defending the nation and standing by the people of Kashmir in their just struggle for freedom.
