Raiwind, February 5, 2025: In a horrifying incident that has sparked nationwide outrage, two Punjab police officers have been accused of gang-raping a woman in Raiwind. The shocking case has raised serious concerns about police misconduct and accountability in the region.

According to initial reports, the accused officers allegedly stripped and tortured the victim before sexually assaulting her. The involvement of multiple policemen in the crime has further intensified public anger.

ASP Sardar Usman confirmed that a case has been registered at the Raiwind City Police Station, and one of the accused officers has already been arrested, while a search is underway to apprehend the second suspect. Additionally, the outpost in-charge has been suspended for failing to report the incident to higher authorities in a timely manner. DIG Operations is overseeing the investigation to ensure swift action against those responsible.

This disturbing incident comes on the heels of another alleged gang-rape case involving a private university student in Lahore. The victim had lodged a complaint at the Women’s Police Station, leading to the registration of a case under gang-rape charges. The FIR states that the accused committed the crime with two accomplices, further highlighting the urgent need for stronger legal enforcement and protection for victims of sexual violence.

As investigations continue, authorities face mounting pressure to ensure justice for the victims and implement strict measures to prevent such heinous crimes, especially when committed by those entrusted with law enforcement and public safety.
