Rawalpindi, February 23, 2025: At least seven terrorists were killed in two separate operations conducted by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district, the military’s media wing reported on Sunday.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was carried out in the Daraban area following reports of militant activity.

“During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists, neutralizing four militants,” the statement read.

In a separate encounter in the Maddi area, three more terrorists were eliminated by security forces. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain militants, who were involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region.

The ISPR further stated that sanitization operations were underway to ensure the elimination of any remaining threats. “The security forces of Pakistan remain committed to eradicating terrorism from the country,” the statement added.

This operation follows a similar intelligence-based raid conducted on Friday in KP’s Karak district, where security forces killed at least six terrorists.
