Islamabad, March 28, 2025: A tragic accident in Islamabad claimed the lives of four people and left seven others injured after a speeding dumper truck lost control and rammed into five vehicles.
According to initial reports, the dumper truck was traveling at high speed when the driver lost control, resulting in a devastating collision. The driver fled the scene immediately, abandoning the wreckage.
Rescue teams and Islamabad police rushed to the site, providing first aid and transporting the injured to PIMS Hospital for medical treatment.
This accident adds to a growing number of fatal dumper truck crashes across Pakistan, raising serious concerns about regulatory enforcement.
Just days earlier, a similar tragedy unfolded in Larkana, where a single dump truck was responsible for the deaths of four individuals within five days. The incidents have sparked outrage over negligence and the failure of authorities to regulate heavy vehicles.
In Karachi and Larkana, repeated accidents involving dump trucks continue to wreak havoc. The latest fatality in Larkana occurred on Airport Road, where a dump truck operated by Sindh Solid Waste Management struck and killed a woman from Qutub Colony. Rescue officials confirmed that she succumbed to her injuries on the spot.
This followed another horrifying accident just four days earlier, in which the same truck killed a mother and her two children.
The alarming frequency of these accidents has raised serious questions about the effectiveness of traffic regulations and enforcement, with calls for stricter measures to prevent further loss of life.
