Karachi, April 12, 2025: In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity, the Multan Sultans announced a charitable campaign during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, pledging donations to support children affected by the conflict in Palestine.
The announcement was first made by team captain Mohammad Rizwan during the toss, drawing attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. “On every six and four, or a wicket, we will do something for the children in Palestine and Gaza,” Rizwan shared, dedicating the team’s on-field performances to a cause beyond cricket.
Franchise owner Ali Tareen later elaborated on the initiative in a video message, revealing that both the batting and bowling squads were eager to contribute to relief efforts. As a result, the team has committed to donating PKR 100,000 for every six hit and every wicket taken by a Multan Sultans player throughout the tournament.
“We would like to make an announcement on behalf of Multan Sultans that we have decided to support Palestinian charities this season,” said Tareen. “Since our players expressed a strong desire to be involved, we’ve decided to donate 100,000 rupees for every six and every wicket taken by our players.”
Tareen emphasized that the donations will specifically benefit organizations working with Palestinian children, many of whom continue to suffer as a result of ongoing conflict and blockade in Gaza.
The gesture has received widespread praise from fans and social media users, positioning Multan Sultans not just as sports champions, but as ambassadors of compassion and solidarity.
