Islamabad, March 19, 2025: Pakistan has strongly condemned the latest Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, which killed over 400 Palestinians, mostly women and children, calling it a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement.

“This horrific act of aggression, in the holy month of Ramadan, marks a dangerous escalation that threatens to destabilize the entire region once again,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

Islamabad urged the international community to take immediate action to end the violence and resume diplomatic efforts for an “immediate and lasting peace” in Gaza and the broader Middle East.

The ceasefire, which lasted nearly two months, was shattered by Israeli airstrikes that left at least 404 Palestinians dead and 562 injured. Gaza authorities have also reported almost daily ceasefire violations by the Israeli military.

Since October 2023, Israeli attacks have killed more than 48,500 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and left Gaza in ruins.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants in November 2024 for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for its military actions in Gaza.
