Islamabad, September 13, 2024- A case has been filed against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for inciting rebellion after a controversial post was made on the social media platform X.

Details reveal that the case, numbered 1138/24 and filed on September 13, 2024, accuses the PTI founder of inciting rebellion against the government and state institutions through his X account.

The four-member team from the FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing arrived at Adiala Jail at 7:45 PM today for questioning. The Deputy Superintendent requested the PTI founder’s presence for interrogation; however, he declined to participate, stating he needed to consult with his lawyers.

Sources indicate that the investigative team will return to Adiala Jail on Saturday morning for further questioning, focusing on the seditious messages and the involvement of his associates in disseminating them.
