PCB likely to reschedule two PSL 10 matches after broadcaster request

Lahore, April 27, 2025: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 schedule is expected to see minor adjustments following a request from tournament broadcasters, leading to the rescheduling of two matches originally set to be played in Multan.

The match between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings, initially slated for May 1, will now take place on May 6 at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Meanwhile, the clash between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators, previously scheduled for May 10, has been shifted to May 11. Both fixtures will now be held as night matches under floodlights.

Sources indicate that the revisions were made to accommodate logistical challenges faced by the broadcasters. The PSL management responded positively to the request, opting to retain Multan as the venue rather than relocating the matches to Lahore, as was briefly considered.

One potential reason behind the broadcasting complications is the recent expulsion of 23 members from the PSL broadcasting team, following heightened diplomatic tensions between Pakistan and India.

Despite the scheduling changes, the Multan Cricket Stadium will continue to host the matches as originally planned.

In the ongoing tournament standings, Islamabad United lead the table, remaining unbeaten with five wins from five matches and accumulating 10 points. Lahore Qalandars sit in second place with 6 points from three wins and three defeats. Karachi Kings are third, also with 6 points but trailing on net run rate (-0.217).

Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators occupy the fourth and fifth spots respectively, each securing 4 points. Meanwhile, Multan Sultans are struggling at the bottom, managing just one win and five losses in their six outings.
