Dhaka, July 23, 2025: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and white-ball head coach Mike Hesson held a meeting on Wednesday to review the national team’s underwhelming performance in the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh.

According to sources, the meeting focused on Pakistan’s back-to-back defeats in the series, which saw the Salman Ali Agha-led side lose 2-0. Bangladesh clinched the second T20I with a narrow 8-run win at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, sealing the series.

Chairman Naqvi is also expected to meet with individual players of the national squad to assess team morale and strategic planning going forward.

The discussion came ahead of Naqvi’s participation in the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Annual General Meeting, scheduled for July 24 in Dhaka. Naqvi, who also serves as Pakistan’s caretaker Interior Minister, arrived in Bangladesh earlier today and was received at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam.

As ACC President, Naqvi will preside over key deliberations at the AGM, expected to cover regional tournament planning, development initiatives, and inter-board collaboration across Asia.
