Kabul, August 6, 2025: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched the Food Security and Emergency Support Project in Afghanistan for the 2025–2026 period, aimed at addressing the urgent needs of returning Afghan nationals.

Under this initiative, KSrelief has allocated 5,000 food baskets specifically for Afghans returning from Iran. The project targets vulnerable families who have recently repatriated and are in immediate need of food assistance.

This effort is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian commitment to supporting food security and providing emergency relief to countries facing crises. Through KSrelief, Saudi Arabia continues to play a leading role in global relief operations, extending aid to those most in need, regardless of geography.

The latest initiative underscores the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to alleviate human suffering and assist communities affected by displacement, conflict, and food insecurity.
