Port of Spain, August 7, 2025: Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match CG United One-Day International (ODI) series against Pakistan, set to be played at the iconic Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad.

The 50-over leg of the white-ball home series will take place on August 8, 10, and 12, and marks the final chapter of the 2025 “Full Ah Energy” home series.

West Indies will be aiming for their fourth consecutive ODI series victory on home soil, following successful campaigns against England and Bangladesh in late 2024 and a strong performance on their recent tour of the United Kingdom.

The squad retains its core from recent series, with Alzarri Joseph notably rested as part of workload management. All-rounder Romario Shepherd returns to the lineup after missing earlier matches against Ireland and England.

Head Coach Daren Sammy expressed optimism about the team’s form and direction:

“Pakistan presents a different test and challenge as we continue our push for automatic qualification for the 2027 World Cup. While qualifying is our immediate goal, maintaining a winning mentality and team cohesion is essential for long-term success,” said Sammy.

“The upcoming matches against teams like Pakistan, who are ranked higher, provide crucial opportunities to earn valuable ranking points to improve our standing ahead of the World Cup.”
