Islamabad, August 9, 2025: Flight operations at Islamabad International Airport will be temporarily suspended on select days this month to facilitate rehearsals for Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day parade, the Pakistan Airport Authority announced.
According to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), arrivals and departures will be halted on August 11, 12, and 13 from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Airlines have been instructed not to schedule flights during these hours.
Additional restrictions are planned earlier in the month. From August 6 to 9 and August 11 to 14, operations will also be suspended between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to accommodate daytime parade practices.
Authorities have advised travellers to confirm their flight schedules in advance to avoid inconvenience, while airlines are expected to adjust timings and inform passengers of any changes.
These measures are part of security and logistical arrangements to ensure a full ceremonial display in the federal capital for Independence Day celebrations.
