Islamabad, September 14, 2025: The United States has dispatched another shipment of flood relief assistance to Pakistan after weeks of torrential rains and catastrophic floods that have displaced millions and devastated homes, farmland, and infrastructure.

According to a statement issued by the US Department of State on Sunday, the aid includes food, shelter, and other emergency supplies for affected communities. The US military has also flown in critical equipment to support the Pakistan Army’s relief operations.

A C-17 and a C-130 aircraft landed at Nur Khan Air Base carrying the latest consignment. US Mission to Pakistan Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker was present during the unloading and expressed condolences to the victims. “The United States is profoundly saddened by the loss of life and destruction of homes and livelihoods,” she said.

Baker added that the relief effort followed a formal request from the Government of Pakistan. “The Department of State and the US military approved foreign assistance funding and critical supplies to augment national response efforts in the most affected areas,” she noted.

The aid was formally handed over to the Pakistan Army, with ISPR confirming that it would be transported to Army Flood Relief Camps for onward distribution among affected families. “The government and people of Pakistan are thankful to the US government and military for standing by the affected population in these testing times,” ISPR said in a statement.

Last week, the US approved a new relief package for Pakistan, marking the first international humanitarian initiative of its kind under the Trump administration. The State Department said the funding would support food, shelter, and other emergency needs through coordination with Pakistani authorities and humanitarian partners.

The latest shipment builds on earlier consignments already delivered to Pakistan, reflecting Washington’s commitment to assist in flood recovery efforts.
