Doha, September 14, 2025: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Doha on Sunday to participate in the Arab-Islamic Foreign Ministers’ meeting convened under the aegis of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Dar was received at Doha airport by senior Qatari and Pakistani diplomatic officials, including Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the OIC, Fawad Sher.
The ministerial session, set to begin shortly, will open with an address by OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha. The meeting will review the situation arising from recent Israeli attacks on Qatar and prepare a draft resolution condemning the aggression.
According to diplomatic sources, Ishaq Dar will present Pakistan’s position, underscoring Islamabad’s solidarity with Qatar and reaffirming the country’s call for a united Muslim response against Israeli hostilities.
The foreign ministers are expected to finalise the agenda for the Arab-Islamic Summit scheduled for Monday in Doha, which Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend alongside heads of state and government from more than 50 countries.
The summit is anticipated to adopt a strong collective response to Israel’s actions and chart a joint strategy for countering future hostilities.
