Islamabad, September 21, 2025: A grave case of alleged abduction and unlawful detention of minors from Lahore and Bahawalpur has surfaced, with the Islamabad High Court scheduling a hearing for tomorrow.

According to details, the abducted individuals include two-year-old Nimra Sohail, six-year-old Alia Sohail, eight-year-old Hareem Sohail, their mother Sana Sohail, and 18-year-old Arham Waqas from Bahawalpur.

Sources claim the victims were illegally taken into custody by Islamabad police and CIA officials under the influence of a powerful local resident, Musharraf Rasool Siyan. The individuals have reportedly been held in illegal confinement in Islamabad for the past five days, while police in Lahore and Bahawalpur have so far refused to register a case.

The situation escalated further when senior lawyer from the Lahore High Court, who traveled to Islamabad to pursue the children’s recovery, was allegedly assaulted by CIA and federal police personnel at the G-13 Golra Mor checkpoint. Reports state that the lawyer was beaten and his vehicle seized.

Advocate Yasir Arafat alleged that he has also received death threats for refusing to withdraw from the case. His attempts to register an FIR at Sumbal police station were unsuccessful.

The circulation of a video showing the abduction of the children has triggered widespread concern among residents. Citizens have called on the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, and the Chief Minister of Punjab to take immediate notice of the matter and ensure the safe recovery of the children.
