Dubai, September 21, 2025: Sahibzada Farhan’s blistering half-century lifted Pakistan to a competitive 171/5 in their allotted 20 overs against arch-rivals India in the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Put into bat after India won the toss and elected to bowl, Pakistan made a steady start as openers Farhan and Fakhar Zaman added 21 runs before Fakhar departed in the third over to Hardik Pandya following a debated third-umpire call. He struck 15 off nine balls with three boundaries.

Farhan then anchored the innings with a dominant 72-run stand for the second wicket alongside Saim Ayub (21 off 17), who fell to Shivam Dube in the 11th over. The right-hander went on to score a fluent 58 off 45 balls, hitting five fours and three sixes, before Dube struck again to end his knock in the 15th over.

Pakistan lost some momentum in the middle overs, but captain Salman Ali Agha (17 not out) and Mohammad Nawaz (21 off 19) rebuilt with a 34-run partnership. Faheem Ashraf provided late fireworks with an unbeaten 20 off just eight deliveries, smashing two sixes and a four to propel Pakistan past the 170 mark.

For India, Shivam Dube impressed with 2/30, while Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya chipped in with a wicket each.
