Lahore, October 4, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Saturday that Pakistan had achieved a “historic victory” in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, crediting the success to the “brilliant strategy” of Field Marshal Asim Munir and the professional excellence of the country’s armed forces.

Speaking at a session with participants of the National Security and War Course in Lahore, she praised the military leadership, saying: “Pakistan’s armed forces have demonstrated outstanding professional skills. We are proud of their historic success, made possible under the wise leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir.”

Maryam also turned to the ongoing humanitarian crisis, noting that Punjab had witnessed unprecedented devastation from the recent floods. She said the provincial government’s entire machinery was working round the clock for the rehabilitation of flood victims.

According to the chief minister, more than 2.5 million people were safely evacuated from flood-hit areas, while the government ensured the provision of three meals a day to displaced families.

Emphasizing unity in the face of adversity, she said: “The challenges we face can only be overcome collectively. Pakistan is geographically a key country in the region and is confronting both internal and external challenges. The prosperity of our people remains my foremost priority.”

Maryam further underscored the importance of governance reforms, stressing that “good governance, sound policies, and hard work must be our top priorities.” She added that transparent and effective governance could resolve public grievances, reaffirming that “selfless and indiscriminate service to the people is my mission.”
