Lahore, October 4, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday confirmed the appointment of match officials for the men’s all-format home series against South Africa, scheduled from October 12 to November 8.

The opening Test, part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27, will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium from October 12–16. Australia’s Rodney Tucker (ICC Elite Panel) and New Zealand’s Christopher Brown (ICC Emerging Umpires Group) will serve as on-field umpires, with Bangladesh’s Saikat Sharfuddoula as third umpire and Pakistan’s Faisal Khan Afridi as fourth umpire. Sri Lanka’s Ranjan Madugalle will officiate as match referee for the entire series.

For the second Test in Rawalpindi (October 20–24), Brown will continue alongside Sharfuddoula as on-field umpires, while Tucker moves to third umpire duties and Rashid Riaz will serve as the fourth umpire.

The three-match T20I series begins in Rawalpindi on October 28. Muhammad Asif Yaqoob and Rashid Riaz will stand as on-field umpires, with Afridi and Tariq Rasheed handling third and fourth umpire roles. The same team will officiate the second T20I in Lahore on October 31, before switching positions for the final T20I on November 1.

For the ODI series at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium, Saikat Sharfuddoula and Asif Yaqoob will take charge of the first ODI (November 4), with England’s Alex Wharf as third umpire. In the second ODI, Wharf and Pakistan’s Ahsan Raza (both ICC Elite Panel) will stand together on-field for the first time in the series. The final ODI on November 8 will feature Sharfuddoula and Afridi as on-field umpires, with Wharf as third and Rashid Riaz as fourth.
