Dubai, October 7, 2025: Pakistan’s in-form opener Sidra Amin has been shortlisted for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for September 2025, following a series of outstanding performances against South Africa, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Tuesday.

Amin was the standout performer in the ODI series, finishing as the top run-scorer with 293 runs in three matches at an astonishing average of 293.00. She registered back-to-back unbeaten centuries — 121 and 122* — displaying remarkable consistency and composure at the top of Pakistan’s batting order.

While Pakistan fell short in the opening two ODIs, Amin’s contributions helped her side post competitive totals. In the final match, she guided Pakistan to a consolation win with another unbeaten half-century, ending South Africa’s winning run and cementing her place among the month’s top performers.

Joining Amin among the nominees are India’s Smriti Mandhana and South Africa’s Tazmin Brits, both of whom also produced exceptional displays during the same period.

Mandhana continued her prolific form in ODIs, amassing 308 runs in four innings against Australia at an average of 77.00 and a blistering strike rate of 135.68. Her knocks of 58, 117, and 125 included a record 50-ball century in the series decider — the fastest ODI hundred by an Indian woman and the second fastest in women’s ODI history. Despite India’s series defeat, Mandhana’s exploits earned her the Player of the Series title.

Brits, meanwhile, spearheaded South Africa’s 2-1 series triumph over Pakistan with dominant batting displays, scoring 272 runs in two innings at a strike rate of 103.81. Her consecutive unbeaten centuries — 101* and 171* — highlighted her ability to build long innings and dominate opposition attacks, earning her the Player of the Series honour.

The ICC Women’s Player of the Month award celebrates the best individual performances from international women’s cricket each month, as voted by an independent panel of former players, journalists, and fans.
