Karachi, October 14, 2025: Veteran Pakistani actor Mustafa Qureshi, best known for his iconic role as Noori Natt in Maula Jatt, sustained injuries after slipping into a roadside pit during a morning walk on Tuesday.
According to media reports, Qureshi was taking a stroll outside his home after Fajr prayers when his foot got caught in an open pit, causing him to fall and fracture his leg. The actor also suffered a minor head injury in the incident.
Speaking to reporters, the legendary actor said the road near his residence had been dug up for maintenance, which led to the mishap. Doctors have advised six weeks of complete bed rest, forcing him to miss Senator Raza Rabbani’s book launch, which he had planned to attend.
Fans and fellow artists have expressed concern and sent messages wishing the 85-year-old actor a speedy recovery.
Mustafa Qureshi is one of Pakistan’s most celebrated film personalities, having appeared in over 700 films during a career spanning five decades. Known for his powerful voice and commanding presence, he remains a beloved figure in the country’s cinematic history.
