Islamabad, October 20, 2025: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday issued a revised schedule for by-elections in constituencies where polling had been postponed due to flooding triggered by heavy rains and water discharge from India.

According to the notification, the by-elections will be held in five constituencies across Faisalabad and Sahiwal divisions — NA-96, NA-104, NA-143, PP-98, and PP-203.

Candidates may file appeals against Returning Officers’ decisions until October 24, while the Appellate Tribunal must decide all appeals by October 31. The final list of candidates will be published on November 1, followed by the withdrawal deadline on November 3. Election symbols will be allotted on November 4, and polling will take place on November 23.

The ECP, invoking provisions of the Election Act, 2017, directed all candidates and political parties to strictly adhere to the code of conduct throughout the campaign period.
