Rawalpindi, October 21, 2025: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, on Tuesday interacted with participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan at the General Headquarters (GHQ), reaffirming the Army’s commitment to peace, stability, and development in the province.

During the interaction, the COAS said that Balochistan is the pride of Pakistan, endowed with vibrant, resilient, and patriotic people who constitute its true wealth. He highlighted the ongoing federal and provincial government initiatives aimed at uplifting the socio-economic landscape of the province through a people-centric development approach.

Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasised the need to realise Balochistan’s immense economic potential for the benefit of its people and acknowledged the constructive role of civil society, particularly in engaging and empowering youth. He said the active participation of youth is vital for sustainable progress and for countering divisive political narratives that hinder long-term prosperity.

The COAS warned that India-sponsored proxies — Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khawarij — continue to propagate anti-people and anti-development agendas aimed at spreading instability and violence in the province. He reiterated that the armed forces are taking all necessary measures to eliminate terrorist threats and ensure lasting peace in Balochistan.

“While Pakistan seeks regional peace and stability, any violation of its territorial integrity — direct or indirect — will be met with a firm and decisive response to safeguard the lives and well-being of its citizens,” the COAS asserted.

The session concluded with a candid Q&A in which participants shared their views on national security, development, and social cohesion in Balochistan.
