Lahore, October 21, 2025: All-rounder Abbas Afridi has been appointed captain of the Pakistan squad for the upcoming Hong Kong Cricket Sixes 2025, scheduled to take place from November 7 to 9.

Pakistan will depart for Hong Kong on November 5 to participate in the 21st edition of the fast-paced tournament, which will feature 12 teams divided into four pools.

The Men in Green have been placed in Pool C alongside India and Kuwait, with both of their group-stage matches set for Friday, November 7.

The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes promises high-octane entertainment, featuring quick six-a-side contests over three days. Defending champions Sri Lanka will seek to retain their title, while Pakistan — the most successful team in the tournament’s history with five championships — aim to add another trophy to their storied record.

Pakistan’s squad blends youth and experience, with Abbas Afridi (captain) joined by Abdul Samad, Khawaja Mohammad Nafay, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Shahzad, Saad Masood, and Shahid Aziz.
Danish Aziz and Mohammad Faiq have been named as non-travelling reserves.

Known for its fan-friendly, fast-paced format, the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes remains one of the most exciting events on the global cricket calendar. This year’s edition is expected to draw large crowds and international attention as the event continues its revival following recent global disruptions.
